Chromatin Immunoprecipitation – Sequencing (ChIP-Seq)

Advantages of ChIP Analysis by Next Generation Sequencing technology

  • True whole genome wide discovery of protein-binding sites on DNA is possible, also without comprehensive previous knowledge of genomic sequences
  • Excellent dynamic range and intuitive quantification opportunities, simply by counting the frequency of reads that map to (or establish) the same region
  • Deep sequencing coverage enables statistically meaningful analysis of results (over 5 millions different fragments can be analyzed in a single flow cell channel)
  • Fine resolution of binding sites to stretches
  • Low sample input amount required  (50 ng of fragmented, ChIP-enriched DNA)

Our Service Offering:

  • Illumina DNA Cluster Library generation from ChIP enriched DNA with QC, subsequent sequencing on Genome Analyzer
  • Methylation analysis via immunoprecipitation of Methylcytosin-binding proteins, starting with MeDIP enriched DNA
  • Bioinformatic Analysis:  Clustering, mapping to reference genome, quantitation
